Elev8 Sports Weather / Cancellation Policy
Practices
Elev8 Basketball follows Howard County Community College closings for all practices. The Elev8 Leadership Team, in cooperation with CPC and Crossroads staff, reserves the right to cancel even if Howard County Community College does not close. Please check our status page for up to date closing information.
Games
The Elev8 Leadership Team, in cooperation with the leadership at Columbia Presbyterian Church and Crossroads Church will make a determination as weather progresses as to the status of games. Games are subject to cancellation at any time Friday or Saturday as weather deteriorates. Missed games are generally not able to be made up with the exception of the high school tournament.
Safety First
You and your family's safety is our priority. If at any time you feel unsafe traveling to practice or a game, please stay home and let your coach know. You know your area and comfort level with inclement weather better than anyone else, so please use your personal judgement in these cases.
Notifications
The Elev8 Leadership Team will communicate the decision to cancel practices and/or games immediately upon making the decision. Notifications will be sent out via email, and our website will be updated. Additionally, your coach will be instructed to reach out to individual families as well to notify them of the cancellation. If you do not receive notifications, please contact us for assistance.
